Rover Rehab Uses Force-Free, Positive Reinforcement Training to Foster Communication, Connection, and Cooperation Between You and Your Dog

What is Positive Reinforcement (R+) Training?

Positive reinforcement training uses rewards like treats, praise, and play to teach and strengthen positive, appropriate behaviors. We never use force, fear, or punishment to train and instead utilize management, enrichment, and a variety of training skills to prevent any undesired behaviors.

Why Do We Do This?

It’s more fun and it’s more effective! Research shows positive reinforcement is more likely to prevent behavior issues and to result in long-term changes while making sure you and your pets feel safe and comfortable. It’s a win-win!

Why Does It Work?

Positive reinforcement creates positive associations every time our dogs engage in behaviors we want to see more of. This helps them want to do those things again and again! It is a training methodology rooted in empathy, compassion, and science, and is an incredible way of addressing training problems from basic manners to complex behavior issues.
