Did You Know That At Rover Rehab We Use Exclusively Positive Reinforcement Training Methods?

What is Positive Reinforcement (R+) Training?

Positive reinforcement training uses rewards like treats, praise, or whatever your dog enjoys most to teach them new, desired behaviors. We never use force, fear, or punishment to train and instead utilize management and a variety of training skills to prevent any undesired behaviors.

Why Do We Do This?

It’s more fun and it’s more effective! Research shows positive reinforcement is more likely to prevent behavior issues and to result in long-term changes while making sure you and your pets feel safe and comfortable. It’s a win-win!

Why Does It Work?

It is an incredibly powerful tool because it creates positive associations every time our dogs engage in behaviors we want to see more of. This helps them want to do those things again and again!
